The Jailbreak community is ready for more good news, as the cat and mouse chase game between the tech giant Apple and the Dream Team of hackers gains more momentum after new exploits for the upcoming jailbreak have been discovered.
Earlier in the year the Evad3rs Dream Team had revealed major security holes untouched by Apple with the release of iOS 6.1.3, despite patching up several other vulnerabilities.
After Apple patched up the remaining vulnerabilities the evasi0n jailbreak was almost killed and this raised a lot of questions and concerns about the future of jailbreak releases.
Regardless of all this, Joshua Hill – one of the most popular iOS hacker and researcher aka P0sixninja has claimed that he has discovered new exploits that would be required for the upcoming iOS 6.1.3 untethered jailbreak.
In his latest twitter update, P0sixninja who is also a former member of the Chronic Dev Team said that so far it looks like the entire next jailbreak release would be created by him. In another tweet he said that the Evad3rs have not gone any far and all the required exploits have been discovered by him all on his own.
The veteran hacker is yet to reveal any proof of concept (POC) to demonstrate the new exploits with the iOS 6.1.3 jailbreak, the next jailbreak is expected to be released only after Apple releases the new version of iOS (iOS 7).
It is a well-known fact that Apple has a reputation of fixing the security loopholes in their subsequent iOS releases, so the jailbreak developers would not take any chances this time.
P0sixninja and the evad3rs are working harder to find more exploits and loopholes left by Apple so that they can reveal yet another jailbreak for their fans. We can expect another major jailbreak release very soon until and unless Apple fixes the major security holes which the hackers have claimed to have discovered.
Notification for U.S. readers, jailbreaking your iPhone is perfectly legal, but jailbreaking your iPod touch, iPad, or iPad mini falls into a grey area of the law.
