Although Canelo is an undefeated veteran, but he has to come up with a game plan to counter the young Mayweather’s famous boxing IQ. Money is known as one of the smartest fighters, he has won 44 straight fights on the bases of his boxing IQ, and nevertheless it is crucial for him to anticipate Saul’s game plan.

There is a possibility that Alvarez will try to take advantage of his size over Floyd, but years of experience will help money anticipate this strategy and definitely he will come prepared for this.

Alvarez discussed his strategy with Miguel Rivera of the Boxing Scene: he said that though Money is swift; he only throws one or two punches and then moves away. He also said that every fighter in the world wants to rip Maywheather’s head off, from the first round.

Although no one has been successful in doing so, Alvarez will focus on the body in the initial rounds and then move upwards. Alvarez plans to go full 12 rounds with the youngster, according to him, “His swiftness will eventually fade with the passing of rounds and then I will take him down and make the people happy.”

Maywheather has to get his mind around the game plan Alvarez has made for him. If he can get his opponent out of rhythm in the initial rounds by attacking him with all the force, there is a high possibility that Canelo will deviate from his game plan.
